On Tuesday we decided to see what other clubs and ranges were available for Clay Target Shooters.

We shoot at Wattlespring Gun Club and we think our ranges are pretty good but at Hippo
Creek Gun Club which is open 6 days a week and run by the owner, Jim van Zyl, we were in for a good surprise.

A very welcoming club house where meals are served and a pub to relax at when you've had a great day of shooting.
Beautifully layed out ranges - Trap - Skeet - Ball Trap - Universal Trench - Universal Trap - Sporting - Compak Sporting - Black Powder Sporting - Rifle and even an amphitheatre that can double up for other entertainment events.
More ranges are still being built at the moment and chalets for those who want to stay over are in the pipeline.

Members are allowed to do some fishing as the property borders the Vaal River on the Gauteng side.
There is a World Sporting Event that will be held at Hippo Creek Gun Club in 2014 and we will be keeping you up to date with this beautiful venue.
Clay target shooting is one of the most popular shooting art that done through using shotguns or other type firearm equipments. It's excellent shooting art for improving target shooting skill and be the best target shooter.
